Easy Liver Detox Diet



Detox diet is designed to reduce, if not totally eliminate, the toxins in our body. As we know, toxins are harmful substance that could lead to serious illness. These toxic may come from nicotine, caffeine, alcohol and foods with additives. Detox is the short term for detoxification.



When the capability of our liver to eliminate wastes decreases, toxins build up. A liver detox diet provides nutrients to cleanse and restore the liver to its optimum function.


On the day when you started the liver detox diet, it is important to engage in light activities only. Go out for fresh air. Rest well.


For the first two day, focus on liquid intake. Go with fresh water, fresh fruit. You can also drink vegetable juices. If you became really hungry, eat salads.


On the third day, you may eat other foods aside from salad. However, the following foods are a big No. These foods are red meat, foods with additives, salty food, caffeine, soda, alcohol.


Your food intake should be limited to healthy foods. These include green leafy vegetables and fresh fruits. Add fish to your diet at least twice a week. Make sure to drink a lot of water.


Vegetable food pyramid is a good liver detox diet. Following the pyramid, it simply advices to eat more fruits as well. It further supports eating vegetables and whole grains on the daily basis. Saturated fats and cholesterol should be avoided.


Completely avoid foods with additives for one week while undergoing the liver detox diet. Avoid nicotine and alcohol. Do not be tempted to raw beef, eggs or any poultry and dairy products.


In any form of diet, fruits and vegetables are important element to be healthy and toxin free. This includes food schedule of liver detox diet. However, it is important to remember that these foods should be balanced as well.


Another liver detox diet is the lemonade diet. It is also a natural way to lose weight. There are two ways to forego lemonade diet.


The first method is focused on drinking lemonade. For three to four days, we will be drinking only lemonade. The content of the lemonade juice is two tablespoon of lemon and 2 tablespoon of natural maple syrup. These will be mixed with 12 ounces of water.


The lemonade should be taken once after every 120 seconds or 2 hours. There is an abstinence of solid food intake as well. The second option is to ingest lemonade every morning. This should be repeated three times for a month.


A liver detox diet can cleanse our liver. This could make us worry free from toxins. Regardless of the way we choose to diet, it will eventually lead us to a worry free road. That is the road for perfect health.
